Debian-Installer Encrypted LVM Drive

Case ID: del-001

  1. Select a language for the install and press Enter

  2. Select a location for the install and press Enter

  3. On Keybord Layout select No and press Enter

  4. Select the origin of the keyboard and press Enter /!\ The default for you location and language should already be selected.

  5. Select the layout you wish to use on the keyboard and press Enter /!\ The default for you location and language should already be selected.

  6. Add a hostname for the machine and press Enter

  7. Select Guided - use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM and press Enter

  8. Select the disk to use and press Enter

  9. Select Yes to accept the changes and press Enter

  10. Enter an encryption passphrase and press Enter

  11. Confirm your encryption passphrase by entering it again and press Enter

  12. Specify an amount of the volume group to use for guided partitioning and press Enter

  13. Confirm writing the changes to disk by choosing Yes and pressing Enter

  14. Type in your name and press Enter

  15. Add a username and press Enter

  16. Add a password and press Enter

  17. Confirm your password and press Enter

  18. Select No for encrypted home directory and press Enter

  19. Input http proxy info or press Enter

  20. Wait for a while /!\ The install may seem like it has locked at 6% but is actually working in the background.

  21. Select Yes to setting your clock to utc and press Enter

  22. Remove the cd and press Enter

  23. This will then reboot the machine log in and check the desktop is installed
