Ubiquity OEM Install

Case ID: uoi-001

  1. Start your machine with the install media in place
  2. Select your language and press Enter

  3. Press F4 and select OEM install (for manutacturers) and press Return twice

  4. Wait for the desktop to appear
  5. Double click on the Install icon

  6. Once Ubiquity starts click on Forward

  7. Select your language from the list, then add a Unique name for this batch of systems and click Forward

  8. Select your timezone and click Forward

  9. Check your keyboard layout is correct or alter click Forward

  10. Select Erase and use the entire disk and click Forward

  11. Add a password for for the OEM user

  12. Check the details are correct on the final page and click Install

  13. Once the installer has finished choose to Restart the system now

  14. Remove the disc and press the enter
  15. Allow the machine to reboot

Desktop Ready For End User

Case ID: uoi-002

  1. Once the desktop has restarted
  2. Do any updates that maybe present
  3. Click on OEM Configuration (temporary user) (Top Right) and select Restart

  4. Once the desktop has restarted double click on Prepare for shipping to end user

  5. Add the OEM user password and click OK

  6. Click OK on the oem-config-prepare window

  7. Click on OEM Configuration (temporary user) (Top Right) and select Shut down

End User Creation

Case ID: uoi-003

  1. Switch the machine back on
  2. Select a language and click Forward

  3. Select a timezone and click Forward

  4. Check the keyboard layout is correct or modify and click on Forward

  5. Add End User details and password and click on Forward

  6. Wait for the Log in screen

  7. Type in the username and hit Enter

  8. Type in the password and hit Enter

  9. Wait for the machine to log in
